The Gen-Z and millennial image-sharing app of choice, Snapchat should always be part of your plan when it comes to advertising to those aged 25 and under. Here’s what’s been happening in the Snapchat world lately.
Snapchat’s agreed a new deal with Universal Music Group, so you can now add tracks from Lady Gaga, Rihanna and more to your Snaps. Following hot on the heels of TikTok, which is heavily centred on music, Snapchat’s keen to bring more songs into the fold and capitalise on the popularity of music trends and memes.
Snapchat’s recently commissioned a study to find out what its users are looking forward to most in the coming months, and it turns out that Snapchatters (perhaps due to their age) are already taking part in more social events than other social media users. Check out the study here.
Snapchat’s Bitmoji avatars were the pre-runners to Apple’s Memoji’s and Facebook’s avatars, and they’re continuing to introduce new customisation options. You now have the option to outfit your Bitmoji with official Adidas gear, with the sportswear giant even debuting their new trainer in the app before launching it in shops.
